Jenny & Geoffrey’s elegant September Inn at Warner Hall wedding is featured on Martha Stewart today. Over-the-top florals by Holly Chapple stole the show and Kate Headley captured the joy of the day perfectly.
Hailing from Hawaii, it was only natural that Jenny & Geoff chose a waterside venue. The Inn at Warner Hall was established in 1642 and was owned by the grandparents of George Washington, who visited often. The plantation itself is a picturesque mix of old world charm and new world amenities on the Potomac River. Jenny & Geoff desired a wedding that was understated yet elegant, comfortable yet memorable – a joyous party with all of their favorite people and a short vacation from their hectic lives as doctors. The couple wanted guests to feel as though they were coming to their home for dinner. The venue at Warner Hall was the perfect location for a relaxed but stylish family get-together.
The design embraced the natural colors of their home state, Hawaii – blues, pinks, and reds – while exuding a love of outdoor living with a riverside ceremony and al fresco dining. The chic and sophisticated Virginia wedding did not detract from the gorgeous grounds of Warner Hall. Lounge vignettes, lush florals, vibrant colors, and a rowboat getaway — this celebration was one for the ages.
