This Virginia elopement at Goodstone Inn is truly a highlight of 2020. When COVID-19 changed their wedding plans, Meredith & Chris decided to elope on their original wedding date. Even though their wedding planning was put on hold, they did not want to postpone their commitment to one another. Friends who were with them when they got engaged were there as they exchanged vows, while family joined the celebration via Zoom. The bride sent a photo of her elopement dress to florist Amaryllis, who surprised her with the most perfect bouquet that matched her dress! I kept the table setting a surprise, and the bride’s expression of delight when she saw it was a moment I won’t easily forget. Being part of this pure celebration of love is a highlight of my whole career. It was a beautiful reminder that #loveisnotcancelled despite the craziness of this year.
