Last summer we had the joy of planning a tropical inspired party at the iconic Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia. Our couple’s colorful rehearsal dinner & welcome party were inspired by the glamorous designs of the Beverly Hills hotel. The bride’s love of the hotel’s iconic palm wallpaper was our starting point. We brought palms in in a variety of ways throughout the night. Amaryllis created jaw-dropping tropical florals with palm accents for the rehearsal dinner table, and the amazing menus were also palm-themed. We also brought in the hotel’s pink and white stripes through the flowers & decor at both the rehearsal dinner and welcome party.
After the intimate rehearsal dinner, a large pool party welcomed everyone to the wedding weekend. We wanted to keep certain themes flowing throughout the night, so tropical flowers were used in both locations. Sleek white lounge furniture from Amaryllis complemented the custom white bar with its pink and white awning and added the right touch of chic. Tropical florals adorned the bar and palm linens were on the cocktail tables. The bride and groom wanted to give guests something fun with an ice cream bar, and the custom design by Amaryllis was perfect! Even though the pool party was moved indoors due to rain, the floating pink arrangements brought the necessary freshness to the indoor pool, and it turned out even more beautiful complimented by The Greenbrier’s interiors. Lounge furniture by the pool and a reggae band kept the party light and fun all night long!
We’re lucky enough to have also planned a winter wedding at the Greenbrier Resort. See our Christmas wedding that was featured on Style Me Pretty here. Looking for more summer inspiration?
