We’re so excited to share the rest of Laurie & Lake’s wedding celebration at the Greenbrier Resort. To see their tropical themed welcome party, check it out here. Thanks to Carats & Cake for sharing their special day.
While the welcome party was chic with whimsical details, the wedding design was very timeless. The Greenbrier’s chapel has a lot of character, so we kept the aisle simple with candles and some light greenery. The altar was a stunner with two trees (which we later repurposed at the reception), and Amaryllis created an absolutely stunning arch of white roses and greens above the chapel entryway. The bride and I share a love for chinoiserie, which we incorporated around the reception. This inspired her main color choice of navy, while the hot pink ballroom inspired some more feminine, pink elements.
We brought pink and white stripes in on the custom dance floor, and the custom stage for the band, Night Years, was awesome. It was inspired by lattice work around The Greenbrier, and we love how it looked with florals. The lattice look was also incorporated into the invitation suite and ceremony program design (bringing it around full circle!) The pink-toned lights and palm reflection on the ceiling of the Cameo Ballroom were other fun touches in the reception room.
A few favorite memories that made this Greenbrier wedding both unique and super sweet: a champagne toast as the couple exited the church; the pink rose wall where we hung escort cards, that later served as a photo backdrop; and the fun, personalized music L&L chose for their ceremony.
Thanks to Eric Kelley for the stunning photos!
