For a couple that loves wine and got engaged at a winery, getting married at a
winery is the perfect match. When the couple found
District Winery they knew immediately it was the perfect place to host their families and friends. We used the paper products, designed by
Emily Baird, to develop an overarching citrus-inspired concept for the spring wedding. The couple knew they wanted to choose a color palette that would lighten and brighten up the wood accents in the ballroom at District Winery. We found the creams and citrus colors to be the perfect combination of playful and elegant.
The bride’s insanely gorgeous bouquet by
Sophie Felts was a show-stopper and mirrored the colorful flowers behind the alter. Peachy fabric draped behind the couple added softness against the city backdrop. A custom aisle runner was everyones favorite detail. The escort board, Coast to Coast, was inspired by the couple’s period of bi-coastal dating while Emma worked in DC and Tyler in California. They have since moved to CA, as the coast to coast theme continues in their relationship. From the citrus pattern on the runner, to the use of colorful flowers to the actual fruit on the tables, their citrus inspired wedding at District Winery was a colorful ode to their love.
From sentimental moments at the alter to a rocking dance floor all night, I’m so glad to see this sweet wedding on
Washingtonian. Gorgeous photos of this citrus wedding at District Winery by the wonderful
Kristen Gardner.
